Covid-19 Information for CCMS
Hello Crimson Cliffs Middle School Parents and Students:
I hope your spring break was safe and happy. This has definitely been a spring break to remember. It seems that there have been changes almost daily since we left for the break last week. Since that time there have been several announcements, updates, and modifications made to our school plan. You can see the latest district information at https://www.washk12.org/district/district-blog/403-coronavirus-information including lunch pickup schedules and locations and district information about Chromebook checkout for students.
Here is the information specific to Crimson Cliffs Middle School that would be helpful for you to know.
Chromebooks will be available for parents to pick up for their students at Crimson Cliffs Middle School starting on Tuesday March 24 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Please watch for an email from our Media Coordinator, Mrs. Jessica Nelson, for more details about that process.
As stated on the district website:
Chromebooks will be prioritized for the families with the greatest need first.
If you already have a computer in your home, please use that first.
Parents will need to print, sign and bring in the attached authorization form to the school. The forms can be accessed by clicking on the following links.
Parents will be responsible for monitoring/supervision of use and care of the Chromebooks.
Borrowed Chromebooks will need to be returned once school resumes or at the end of the school year.
There will be no school on Monday, March 23 or Tuesday, March 24. During this time, teachers will be preparing to deliver curriculum online to students for the duration of the “soft closure” time period.
Students and parents should begin receiving online activities and assignments from teachers beginning on Wednesday, March 25.
You can expect an email from each of your child’s teachers outlining how their educational experience will continue in an on-line setting. Your student will then continue their educational experience on-line beginning Wednesday, March 25. We commit to continual updates from the Crimson Cliffs Middle Staff throughout this soft closure. Teachers will be available from 8:00 – 3:00 via email, phone, and/or video conference, ready to answer questions and provide support to your student.
I am certain that you will receive many more messages from the Washington County School District and CCMS before this ordeal is over. We love our students and care about their health, safety, and continued education. Please be assured that we will do our best to keep you informed about what is happening, provide appropriate educational opportunities for your students, and give needed encouragement and support.
